Job summary

Weatherford International Oil Field Services in Kuwait City is seeking a TCP Specialist Wireline to plan, prepare and execute Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations safely and efficiently.

You will provide advanced expertise in TCP systems, explosive handling, pressure control equipment and perforating technologies while ensuring compliance with Weatherford procedures, HSE standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of Wireline experience, including TCP operations.
• Experience with perforating guns, firing heads, detonators, and associated downhole equipment.
• Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification preferred.
• Exposure to offshore operations and regulatory requirements for explosive handling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute TCP operations per approved programs and Weatherford procedures.
• Prepare, inspect, assemble, test and maintain TCP equipment and downhole tooling.
• Ensure explosive materials handling complies with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pre-job planning, JSAs and operational briefings.
• Verify equipment readiness and documentation prior to mobilization.
• Supervise rig-up, testing, execution and rig-down of TCP equipment.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot technical issues during operations.
• Coordinate with customers, drilling contractors and service providers for seamless execution.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation after jobs.
• Investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory and storage of TCP tools and explosive equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and operators; support new technology trials.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, API and local regulations.

Job Overview The TCP Specialist Wireline is responsible for planning preparing and executing Tubing Conveyed Perforating TCP operations safely and efficiently in support of customer well completion and intervention activities This role provides advanced technical expertise in TCP systems explosive handling pressure control equipment and perforating technologies while ensuring compliance with Weatherford operational procedures HSE standards and customer requirements Working closely with customers drilling and completion teams field operations and engineering personnel the TCP Specialist serves as the technical lead for TCP operations ensuring equipment readiness operational excellence service quality and successful project execution across onshore and offshore environments

Responsibilities

• Plan coordinate and execute Tubing Conveyed Perforating TCP operations in accordance with approved engineering programs customer requirements and Weatherford procedures
• Prepare inspect assemble test and maintain TCP equipment perforating guns firing heads setting tools and associated downhole equipment
• Ensure all explosive materials are handled transported stored and utilized in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Conduct pre-job planning risk assessments Job Safety Analyses JSAs and operational briefings before each job
• Verify equipment readiness certification maintenance status and documentation prior to mobilization
• Supervise rig-up pressure testing execution troubleshooting and rig-down of TCP equipment at customer well sites
• Monitor operational performance and resolve technical issues during well completion and perforating operations
• Coordinate activities with customer representatives drilling contractors rig personnel and other service providers to ensure seamless execution
• Prepare accurate operational reports service tickets equipment records and post-job documentation
• Investigate operational failures perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage preservation and maintenance of TCP tools and explosive equipment
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Wireline Engineers Field Specialists and operators
• Support new technology implementation field trials and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Weatherford HSE policies customer standards API requirements and local regulatory requirements
• Promote operational excellence service quality and customer satisfaction throughout all field activities

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Tubing Conveyed Perforating TCP systems and completion operations
• Experience with perforating guns firing heads detonators setting tools and explosive systems
• Knowledge of explosive safety regulations transportation storage and handling procedures
• Strong understanding of pressure control equipment PCE and well control principles

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 8 years of Wireline experience, including significant hands-on experience in Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations.
• Proven experience supporting onshore and offshore well completion and perforating projects.
• Strong knowledge of pressure control equipment, perforating systems, and well intervention practices.
• Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification is preferred.
• Valid explosives handling certification or equivalent regulatory authorization (where applicable).
• Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, H S, First Aid/CPR, and medical certification are preferred for offshore assignments.
• Experience working with Weatherford TCP systems and operational procedures is highly desirable.
• Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, quality, and customer service.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work rotational field assignments as required.
