Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, IT, CS, or Finance.
8+ years in tax advisory, tax technology, or fintech leadership.
Strong knowledge of direct/indirect tax compliance, e-invoicing, and ERP integration.
CPA, CTA, ACCA, or related certifications are advantageous.
Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

About the Role

Befiler is seeking an innovative and strategic Tax Technology Director to lead the development and scaling of our digital tax technology platforms in Kuwait. In this role, you will bridge the gap between tax strategy and software innovation—driving automated tax compliance, e-invoicing integration, enterprise tax software solutions, and data-driven financial tools for our corporate and individual clients across the region.

Technology Leadership: Define and execute the roadmap for digital tax platforms, automated tax calculations, and electronic tax filing systems.
Product & Integration Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams of software engineers, tax experts, and product managers to build scalable, secure tax tools and enterprise ERP integrations.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in tax laws, VAT regulations, and e-invoicing mandates in Kuwait and the broader GCC to ensure platform compliance.
Client & Stakeholder Strategy: Consult with corporate clients on tax technology transformation, process automation, and system implementation.
Security & Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of data privacy, encryption, and system performance across all digital tax products.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Finance.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in tax advisory, tax technology, or fintech leadership, with proven experience building tax technology tools.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of direct/indirect tax compliance, e-invoicing protocols, database structures, APIs, and tax engines/ERP integration (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Certifications: CPA, CTA, ACCA, or relevant technology/project management certifications are highly advantageous.
Language: Professional fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
