Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Steward to support kitchen and food & beverage operations, ensuring a clean, safe back-of-house environment. You will clean equipment, sanitize areas, operate dishwashers, and assist during service to maintain timely access to clean items.

The role requires basic English communication, physical fitness to stand long hours, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Steward or Kitchen Helper is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleaning procedures.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and handle cleaning tasks.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Basic communication skills in English; Arabic language will be an advantage.
• Honest, reliable, and a good team player.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchens, dishwashing areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Operating dishwashing machines and handling cleaning chemicals safely.
• Supporting kitchen and F&B teams during service by ensuring timely availability of clean equipment.
• Assisting with garbage disposal and waste segregation as per hotel procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Storing cleaned items properly and maintaining organized storage areas.
• Assisting during banquets and events as required.
• Following hotel SOPs, safety guidelines, and cleanliness standards at all times.
