Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an experienced logistics professional to monitor SSA operations and manage GCSS-Army transactions in demanding environments. You will coordinate with units and HQ, maintain records, enforce safety and QA standards, and optimize inventory and throughput.

The role requires proven supply chain experience, HAZMAT knowledge, and readiness to deploy within CENTCOM SW Asia regions. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Army supply/logistics experience.
• Strong knowledge of SSA operations, stock control and warehouse mgmt.
• Proficiency in GCSS-Army warehouse and stock control functions.
• Experience conducting inventories, causative research and discrepancy reconciliation.
• Understanding Army supply regulations and accountability principles.
• Knowledge of HAZMAT handling, packaging and documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with intermodal, retrograde and theater logistics operations.
• Experience supervising Soldiers, DA civilians or contractors.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to deploy within CENTCOM AO and SW Asia locations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute daily SSA operations: receiving, storage, issuing, and turn-ins.
• Process and manage all supply transactions within GCSS-Army.
• Coordinate with units, maintenance, and HQ for timely materiel support.
• Maintain stock records and prepare operational supply reports.
• Enforce SSA SOPs, safety standards, and QA procedures.
• Manage shelf-life and controlled items handling and compliance.
• Analyze supply trends, history and wait times to optimize ops.
• Coordinate transportation for materiel movement including retrograde.
• Ensure HAZMAT docs, packaging, and regulatory compliance for outbound shipments.
• Support intermodal/host-nation logistics, port clearance and container mgmt.
• Maintain audit readiness and adherence to AR/DA policies; participate in boards.
