Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an SSA Issuing Section Lead to manage outbound materiel operations within a theater SSA in Southwest Asia. You will supervise issuing personnel, validate customer requests, and ensure GCSS-Army alignment and audit readiness.

The role requires 5+ years of logistics experience or 9+ years Army supply background with SSA familiarity. Deployment to CENTCOM areas and handling of sensitive items are expected responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with extensive Army supply experience (5+ or 9+ years).
• Strong knowledge of SSA issue operations and materiel distribution.
• Proficiency with GCSS-Army outbound issue and MRO processing.
• Experience resolving issue discrepancies and reconciling records.
• Knowledge of controlled item handling and sensitive item accountability.
• Understanding of Army supply regulations and theater logistics policies.
• Ability to meet deployment requirements and operate in austere environments.
• Proficiency with warehouse and stock control functions in GCSS-Army.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily materiel issue operations to SSA customers.
• Validate requisitions and ensure proper documentation and posting in GCSS-Army.
• Ensure correct item identification, quantity verification, and inspection prior to issue.
• Coordinate with Stock Control to validate demand history and backorder status.
• Supervise issuing personnel, enforce SSA SOPs, safety, and accountability.
• Maintain issue records and prepare daily activity reports.
• Conduct causative research and resolve discrepancies with Stock Control.
• Assist in staging, labeling, and load preparation for units.
