Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an SSA Receiving Section Lead to oversee inbound materiel operations within a theater-level SSA in Southwest Asia.

You will ensure receipt, validation, documentation, and processing of Class II, III(P), IV, VII, and IX materiel, and integrate GCSS-Army workflows to support storage, issue, and customer support. The role requires supervising personnel, maintaining accountability, coordinating with host-nation partners, and complying with AR

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Army logistics and material management operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of SSA receiving operations, documentation, and accountability.
• Proficiency with GCSS-Army for receiving, MRO processing, and stock updates.
• Experience with inventories, causative research, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Knowledge of HAZMAT receiving requirements and handling procedures.
• Understanding of Army supply regulations and theater receiving policies.
• Experience supervising Soldiers, DA civilians, or contractor personnel.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deploy to SWA or other locations; U.S. passport and CRC compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SSA receiving operations including offloading, verification, and inbound documentation.
• Ensure timely processing of receipts and accurate GCSS-Army postings.
• Validate shipment documentation, perform discrepancy checks, and initiate SDRs as needed.
• Coordinate with supported units, warehouse sections, and transportation teams.
• Verify item condition, quantity, and proper handling of controlled materiel.
• Maintain historical receiving records and daily activity reporting.
• Supervise personnel and enforce SSA SOPs, safety, and inventory procedures.
• Collaborate with Stock Control to resolve receiving-related discrepancies.
• Ensure proper staging, binning, and transfer of materiel to storage locations.
• Manage HAZMAT receiving procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with host-nation logistcs partners and port officials for special handling.
• Support retrograde, lateral transfers, and intermodal inbound shipments.
• Maintain audit readiness and compliance with AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-2, AR 735-5, and theater directives.
• Participate in logistics synchronization meetings and cross-functional boards.
• Maintain accountability, safety, and operational continuity in austere environments.
