Job summary

Aggreko Middle East is seeking a site-based power generation technician to join our field service team. You will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, assist with site installation, commissioning, and decommissioning, and ensure work aligns with Aggreko standards and procedures.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (or equivalent), at least one year of experience in power generation, the ability to travel as required, and a valid local

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum one year of experience in power generation.
• Knowledge/experience in mechanical or electrical field.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Valid local driving license as per business needs.
• Site-based role requiring work in all weather and terrain.

Responsibilities

• Minimize equipment under repair and relay information to the Service Manager/Team Leader/Service Administrator for ERP update.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and repairs align with Aggreko standards.
• Follow Global Service Centre Standards (GSCS).
• Complete service documentation per Aggreko procedures.
• Assist with site installation, commissioning and decommissioning to Aggreko standards.
• Liaise with store to ensure parts availability.
• Respond to technical support for field equipment breakdowns in and out of hours.
• Commit to Aggreko Orange Excellence.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and audits.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Job description

• Minimize equipment that is under repair and awaiting inspection whilst ensuring accurate and precise information is relayed to the Service Manager or Service Team Leader and Service Administrator for ERP system update.
• Ensure all preventative maintenance and equipment repairs are completed in line with Aggreko standards and procedures.
• Follow Global Service Centre Standards (GSCS) within working environment at all times.
• Complete all service related documentation inline with Aggreko procedures.
• Assist with site installation (to designed layout), commissioning and decommissioning to acceptable Aggreko standards when required.
• Liaise with the local store person to ensure parts availability for equipment under repair.
• React effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.
• Commitment to and involvement in Aggreko Orange Excellence.
• Actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation including external and internal audits.
• Any other duties considered related essential duties for effective operations and service as requested.
