Role Description

The GSE Technician contract role is an on-site position based in Kuwait City, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ground support equipment used in aviation operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems of GSE. The technician will diagnose equipment issues, replace parts, calibrate systems, and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and client procedures. The role also includes documenting maintenance activities, reporting equipment status, coordinating with operations and engineering teams, and supporting continuous improvement of reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills related to ground support equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety standards, aviation ground operations procedures, and proper use of tools, test equipment, and technical documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service bulletins, and to follow structured maintenance programs.
• Experience working in an MRO, airline, or aviation support environment; prior GSE or heavy equipment maintenance experience is highly beneficial.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively on-site within multicultural, cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work shifts, respond to urgent maintenance needs, and adapt to changing operational requirements.
