Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Kuwait City seeks an experienced software engineer to research, design, test, and manage software programs, including custom applications and integrations with vendors and clients.

You will design, develop, and maintain web apps, APIs, and automation, using AI-assisted development tools, and ensure security, compliance, and quality across the SDLC. Four+ years of experience and a CS degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree in IT, preferably with Microsoft Development Certifications.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience.
• Full understanding of software development life cycle, web development, source control, release management, debugging, 3-tier application development.
• Professional knowledge/experience: C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, .net core, Jscript, ADO.net, SQL, HTML, XML, JSON, JQuery, CSS.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) to improve engineering productivity while adhering to secure coding and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate software requirements into code and maintain existing programs for the business and clients.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, background services, scheduled tasks, and automation solutions to support business operations.
• Develop and manage scheduled jobs, Windows Services, Azure WebJobs, Azure Functions, and background processing services for business-critical applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations with internal, external, and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, message queues, SFTP, and other integration technologies while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Leverage approved AI-assisted development tools to enhance software design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews while exercising professional judgment to verify accuracy, security, compliance, and maintainability of all deliverables.
