Job summary

KUWAITNET is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile applications, web portals, and web applications. The role covers manual and automated testing, including functional and non-functional testing, throughout the development lifecycle.

You will work closely with developers and project teams to plan testing activities, identify defects, verify fixes, and communicate quality risks across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in relevant field.
• At least two years of hands-on QA testing for mobile or web apps.
• Experience in both manual testing and test automation.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, and QA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and specs to provide feedback and planning.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts.
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple projects.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide clear and timely feedback.
• Create detailed, well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across multiple projects.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual tests and automated test scripts for mobile applications, web portals, and web applications.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct non-functional testing, including usability, compatibility, performance, and security testing, according to project requirements.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate issues, verify fixes, and assess their impact on related functionality.
• Support user acceptance testing and assess release readiness against agreed requirements.
• Report testing progress, unresolved defects, quality risks, and blockers.
• Improve QA processes, test coverage, and testing practices.
• Stay up to date with testing tools, methodologies, and techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years of hands-on quality assurance experience testing mobile or web applications.
• Practical experience in both manual testing and test automation.
• Strong understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience creating clear, comprehensive test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools and defect tracking.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test scripts.
• Understanding of the application development lifecycle and the role of QA throughout delivery.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage testing priorities across multiple projects.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English.
