Job summary

Abbott Kuwait is seeking a Senior Medical Representative to promote our broad portfolio of branded medicines to healthcare professionals in Kuwait and to expand our reach within the Established Pharmaceuticals division.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in Kuwait, fluent in English and Arabic, and a valid Kuwaiti residency visa; you will use sales tools (SFA/SFE), meet sales targets, build key account relations, and ensure compliant, ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification in pharmaceutical/medical science.
• 2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales in Kuwait.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Valid Residency visa in Kuwait

Responsibilities

• Promote Abbott products to healthcare professionals to educate them on value for patients in Kuwait.
• Use SFA/SFE tools to achieve coverage, frequency and call rate for the assigned customer list.
• Understand customer needs and effectively communicate product benefits.
• Ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
• Identify new opportunities and develop relationships with key personnel in accounts.
• Provide reports to supervisor regarding territory status, forecasts, proposals and business reviews.
• Maintain mastery of product knowledge and competitors' products in the market.
• Carry out effective sales calls and track daily activities.

This position works out of our Kuwait office in the Established Pharmaceutical division.

What You'll Do

• Promote the company’s products to healthcare professionals to educate them on the value that our products bring to the patients/customers in Kuwait.
• Effectively use tools and resources (SFA/SFE), to ensure achieving the planned coverage, frequency and call rate for the assigned customers’ list.
• Understand customers’ needs and requirements and effectively communicate product benefits and address customer concerns.
• Ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
• Identify new opportunities and gain new business while maintaining the existing business.
• Establish and develop relations with key personnel in all accounts in the assigned territory.
• Provide reports to supervisor regarding territory status, to include forecasts, proposals and business reviews.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
• Ensure mastery of Product knowledge related to the company’s products as well as the competitive products that are available in the market.
• Carry out effective sales calls, targeting high sales hospitals for maximum efficiency. Maintain a daily track record of the sales calls.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned territory.
• Ensure compliance with all the company’s policies and codes.

Required Qualifications

• Educational qualification in pharmaceutical/medical science.
• 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales in Kuwait.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Valid Residency visa in Kuwait
