About the Role.
Job Title: Senior Instrument Technician
Job Location: Kuwait.
Department: On Sync Energy Management Services Company.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide instrumentation technicians and instrument fitters.
- Perform and supervise maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical instrumentation and control systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, fire & gas, safety, and other instrumentation systems.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and preventive maintenance data using CMMS.
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, and test equipment requirements for maintenance activities.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot instrumentation and control system faults.
- Coordinate instrument repair, testing, calibration, and final inspection activities.
- Perform final testing and adjustments following equipment repairs.
- Maintain daily reports, calibration records, equipment history, and spare parts utilization records.
- Provide technical guidance and induction training to new team members.
- Support shutdown and trip analysis and implement corrective maintenance actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and permit-to-work requirements.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline with minimum 4 years of experience in instrumentation and control maintenance within the Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industry.
- OR Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline with minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a similar position.
- Strong hands-on experience with field instrumentation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, fire & gas, and control systems.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and testing.
- Experience using CMMS for maintenance and equipment records.
- Strong supervisory, technical, communication, and problem-solving skills
