Job summary

GE Vernova’s FieldCore seeks a Senior IV Field Engineer to manage site activities, plan resources, and support power generation facilities. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions and resolve issues with immediate action or short-term planning at customer sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating installations, performing maintenance, and providing technical guidance while ensuring safety and quality in line with GE standards. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• Technical/university degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years in a Field Services role.
• 8+ years of experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position.
• Successful completion of required level IV training programs.
• Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment.
• Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities.
• Install systems and perform preventive maintenance, repair, calibration.
• Respond to emergency repairs and services.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports and job status updates for customers.
• Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site.
• Perform walk-downs during installation to ensure customer contractors are working as required.
• Work overtime and extensive travel as required by field assignments.
• Coach, mentor, and train other team members as required.
• Drive customer satisfaction while maintaining GE safety standards.
