Job summary

Baker Hughes in Kuwait seeks a Senior Laboratory Technician - Drilling & Completion Fluids to lead testing and QA/QC of drilling fluids for mud and brine programs. You will support product design, troubleshoot performance, and ensure API standard compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry/Chemical/ Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years in drilling fluids, with offshore travel as needed. Expect rigorous lab work and collaboration with Well Construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling & completion fluids and Mud Lab chemistry.
• Willingness to travel offshore as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing on drilling and completion fluids and evaluate mud programs.
• Conduct QA/QC testing per API specs and prepare Certificates of Analysis.
• Repair, maintain and calibrate onshore and rig-site lab equipment.
• Run tests to optimize mud cake formulations and RDF fluids.
• Monitor stock levels of lab consumables and spare parts.
