Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Lead Applications Engineer in Drilling & Completion Fluids in Kuwait. You will manage technical design, risk mitigation, and client-aligned execution across the job cycle, ensuring compliant planning, execution, and post-job analysis.

The role requires seven years in drilling & completion fluids, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate global teams, travel to sites, and operate in a dynamic, contractual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in drilling & completion fluids.
• Experience coordinating teams and priorities to meet objectives.
• Ability to be on call outside normal business hours.
• Ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel to rig sites and client facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
• Understand client objectives and commercial terms.
• Perform engineering modelling calculations to assess hazards.
• Collaborate with disciplines to consider all application constraints.
• Design a job program with risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Communicate risk of not meeting objectives to the client.
• Document calculations and plan revisions for audit visibility.
• Provide on-demand support for job execution.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure timely incident management to aid cash collection.
• Advise on product improvement opportunities.
