Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Applications Engineer - Drilling & Completion Fluids to drive flawless execution from preplanning to post-job analysis. You will develop technical job programs, model applications, and coordinate with Service Delivery Coordinators to meet client objectives under various contracts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering, 7+ years in drilling & completion fluids, and strong leadership, communication, and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 7+ years of experience in drilling & completion fluids.
• Strong leadership and planning abilities.
• Willingness to be on call outside normal hours.
• Ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Solid understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to rig sites and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the MtJC process.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesperson on client objectives and contracts.
• Perform offset job analyses and engineering modelling to assess hazards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to cover all aspects of the application.
• Design a job program with risk mitigation and contingency plans to maximize revenue.
• Communicate risks of not meeting objectives to clients via proper channels.
• Document calculations, simulations, and plan revisions for audit visibility.
• Provide on-demand product support and on-call coverage for job execution.
• Participate in incident investigations with end-to-end process review.
