Responsabilités

• Performs planned and unplanned adjustments, repairs, and corrective maintenance with ability to troubleshoot faults and restore equipment safely.
• Attends call-backs promptly, conducts fault finding and root-cause analysis, completes repairs, and reduces repeat calls.
• Monitors units with high call-back rates or critical conditions and recommends corrective actions.
• Identifies abnormalities, worn parts, or safety concerns during maintenance and inspections.
• Identifies opportunities for upgrades and modernization during visits and call-backs.
• Provides findings and recommendations to support quotes and additional opportunities, based on equipment condition.
• Coordinates with Line Operators and support teams to meet service levels.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and forms.
• Ensures all activities comply with safe procedures and site regulations.
• Mentors junior mechanics and communicates effectively with customers to build confidence.

Job Title

Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Performs planned and unplanned adjustments, repairs, and corrective maintenance, with the ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Attends call-backs promptly, carries out systematic fault finding and root-cause analysis, completes necessary repairs, and takes appropriate corrective actions to reduce repeat call-backs and improve equipment reliability.
• Monitors units with high call-back rates, recurring faults, or critical conditions, identifies the underlying issues, and recommends suitable corrective and preventive actions.
• Identifies and reports abnormalities, worn or defective components, missing parts, safety concerns, and other equipment deficiencies identified during PPM, call-backs, or routine inspections.
• Proactively identifies T-Lead opportunities during maintenance visits, call-backs, troubleshooting, and inspections by recognizing requirements for repairs, replacement of defective or obsolete components, upgrades, and modernization.
• Provides clear technical findings and recommendations to support T-Lead generation, quotations, and additional business opportunities, while ensuring that recommendations are based on actual equipment condition and customer requirements.
• Coordinates with the Line Operators and relevant support teams to ensure call-backs are attended to within the defined service-level requirements.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation, including timesheets, log cards, maintenance JHA, OSA forms, SVR sheets, and other required service records.
• Ensures all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities comply with OTIS safe working procedures, WWJSSS requirements, client site regulations, and required PPE standards.
• Supports and guides junior mechanics during service and maintenance activities, helping improve their technical, troubleshooting, and safety skills.
• Maintains professional communication with customers, explains technical findings appropriately, and helps build customer confidence through effective troubleshooting, reliable service, and value-added recommendations.
• Immediately reports accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, and other safety concerns to the Supervisor

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical / B. Tech.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry.
• Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator systems and components
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques
• Understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
