UNIGULF is seeking an experienced Honing Technician to support repair and refurbishment of hydraulic cylinders and precision components. You will operate honing equipment to restore internal bores to required dimensions, geometry, and surface finish.

Responsibilities include inspecting bores, selecting stones and tooling, controlling material removal, and recording measurements with precision instruments. A strong safety and documentation mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Practical experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on honing or bore finishing.
• Ability to read drawings and tolerances, ensure surface finish requirements.

Responsabilités

• Inspect cylinder tubes and bores for scoring, wear, corrosion, and deviation.
• Set up and operate honing machines for hydraulic cylinder tubes and precision components.
• Select honing stones, abrasives, tooling, and parameters for material and finish.
• Control material removal to meet bore size, roundness, straightness, and surface finish.
• Measure bore dimensions before, during, and after honing with precision instruments.
• Identify defects or wear needing repair or replacement.
• Coordinate with machining, assembly, and inspection teams.
• Maintain equipment, tooling, inspection records, and a clean, safe area.
