Job summary

Want More in Al-Kuwait is seeking a Pastry Chef for a high-end restaurant to craft exquisite desserts, pastries, and breads that meet exacting standards.

You will develop new pastry recipes, manage inventory, train kitchen staff, and ensure cleanliness and strict health-and-safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)

Pastry Chef for a High-End Restaurant in Al-Kuwait

Key Responsibilities

• Create and prepare high-quality desserts, pastries, and breads according to the restaurant's standards
• Develop new and innovative pastry recipes to add to the menu
• Ensure all products are consistently fresh, tasty, and visually appealing
• Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
• Train kitchen staff on proper pastry techniques and recipes
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
• Follow all health and safety guidelines in food preparation and storage

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
• Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and recipes
• Creativity and ability to develop new recipes while also following traditional ones
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
