Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Kuwait City seeks a Banquet Supervisor to supervise all banquet service activities during events, from set-up to breakdown, ensuring flawless execution.

You will lead and train banquet associates, conduct pre-event briefings, allocate staff, ensure BEO accuracy, coordinate with Culinary, Sales and AV teams, monitor service timing and hygiene, and uphold IHG Luxury standards.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating large-scale banquet events.
• Ability to lead, motivate and train service staff.
• Strong client liaison skills and on-floor presence.
• Proven track record maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
• Fluent communication and teamwork with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all banquet service activities during events, from set-up to breakdown.
• Act as the primary on-floor contact for clients during events, addressing needs discreetly.
• Ensure service delivery reflects luxury standards of elegance and personalization.
• Lead, train, and motivate banquet associates to deliver high-quality service.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews with service teams.
• Allocate staffing efficiently according to event requirements and business levels.
• Ensure function rooms are set according to BEOs, including layouts, décor, AV, and requests.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Sales, and AV teams for smooth operations.
• Monitor service timing, food quality, presentation, and beverage service.
• Enforce hygiene, health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Ensure compliance with IHG policies and local regulations.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and elevate where needed.
• Assist with inventory control, equipment handling, and damage prevention.
• Support Banquet Manager with reports, staffing schedules, and performance feedback.
