Job summary

Our Kuwait-based client, a prestigious 5-star hotel and resort, is seeking a Director of Housekeeping with a proven track record in luxury hospitality. You will lead a sizeable team, uphold immaculate cleanliness, and ensure guest satisfaction across rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations.

You will develop standards, manage budgets, train staff, and collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless service in a dynamic resort environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in housekeeping management within luxury hotels or resorts.
• Proven track record leading large housekeeping teams (10+ members).
• In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and guest service protocols.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Strong budget management skills and cost control.
• Proficiency in housekeeping management software (preferred).
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Oversee and lead a team of approximately 12 staff.
• Foster a positive work environment that motivates the team.
• Develop and implement training programs for staff.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor work for all areas.
• Conduct regular inspections and address issues promptly.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance for equipment.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and Maintenance.
• Analyze guest feedback and drive improvements.
• Maintain records of operations, scheduling, and inventory.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
