reliable information for decisions on stock availability, Min/Max levels, forecasting, replenishment, aging, expiry, wastage, variances,
turnover, and slow- or non-moving inventory.
The role serves as a key data and analysis coordinator between the Kuwait Head Office, regional Supply Chain Teams, Warehouse,
Procurement, Finance, IT, and Operations. The Inventory Analyst also supports the GCC Item Unification Project, ensuring that item
definitions, codes, descriptions, units of measure, pack sizes, categories, and related master-data attributes are standardized, governed,
and correctly implemented across markets and systems.
2. Strategic Contribution
Business priority Contribution expected from the role
Inventory visibility Provide accurate, timely, and consistent inventory information for
operational and management decisions.
Working-capital and waste control Identify excess, aging, expiry, slow-moving, non-moving, and variance
risks to support corrective action.
Data integrity and standardization Protect the accuracy and consistency of item, inventory, and reporting
data across GCC markets and systems.
Regional scalability Coordinate common definitions, reporting standards, and item-unification
activities across Kuwait and regional teams.
3. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Inventory analysis and planning
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports covering stock position, aging, near-expiry and expiry, wastage, variances,
turnover, stock coverage, and slow/non-moving items.
Analyze inventory trends and highlight shortages, excess stock, expiry exposure, abnormal consumption, stock imbalances, and
material variances.
Support the setting and periodic review of Min/Max levels, reorder parameters, safety stock, forecasting inputs, and inventory-
planning assumptions in coordination with Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations.
Provide accurate analysis for inventory actions, including replenishment, redistribution, liquidation, write-off review, cycle counting,
and corrective measures.
Master data management
Create, maintain, and update item/SKU codes and master data, including item descriptions, UOM, pack size, category, brand,
specifications, shelf life, storage requirements, and relevant planning attributes.
Maintain inventory master data across ERP, SUPY, and approved reporting systems, ensuring controlled changes and alignment
with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations.
Perform data-quality checks and coordinate resolution of duplicate items, incorrect descriptions, inconsistent UOMs, pack-size errors,
inactive items, mapping issues, and system discrepancies.
Maintain clear documentation of data changes, approvals, effective dates, ownership, and dependencies.
GCC Item Unification Project
Coordinate the GCC-wide Item Unification Project to establish a common item structure, standardized descriptions, UOMs, pack
sizes, categories, brands, specifications, and item-status rules across markets.
Create and maintain the project mapping between existing country items and unified GCC items, identifying duplicates, near-
duplicates, obsolete items, conversion factors, and unresolved exceptions.
Work with regional Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, IT, Operations, and other data owners to validate proposed
unified items and secure timely approvals.
Maintain the project tracker, issue log, decision register, data dictionary, implementation milestones, and market sign-offs; elevate
delays, conflicting requirements, and material data risks.
Support controlled implementation, user communication, testing, reconciliation, and post-implementation validation to ensure
reporting and transaction integrity are preserved.
Reporting, dashboards, and automation
Develop and maintain Excel dashboards and management reports for inventory, aging, expiry, wastage, variances, turnover, stock
coverage, and master-data quality.
Ensure reports are accurate, timely, clearly defined, and based on approved data sources and calculation logic.
Identify opportunities for reporting automation, improved data flow, reduced manual effort, and better visibility of inventory risks and
actions.
Provide ad hoc analysis and management insights when required, with clear assumptions, conclusions, and recommended actions.
4. Interfaces, Decision Scope and Escalation
The role works with the Supply Chain Manager, regional Supply Chain Teams, Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, IT, Operations, and
other data owners. The Inventory Analyst may prepare analyses, recommend data corrections, coordinate project actions, and implement
approved master-data changes within delegated procedures. The role does not independently approve financial write-offs, material policy
changes, system design decisions, or changes to ownership without the relevant management and process-owner approval. Escalate
critical inventory inaccuracies, data conflicts affecting financial or operational reporting, major expiry or variance risks, delayed market
sign-offs, failed system changes, and unresolved item-unification exceptions.
