Job summary
SBC General Trading & Contracting seeks a qualified Instrumentation & Control Engineer to design and develop control systems for projects and plant modifications.
The role involves selecting field instruments, configuring DCS/SCADA, programming PLCs, and leading FAT/SAT, loop checks, and commissioning activities. Candidates should have strong instrumentation knowledge and safety/process standards experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, control, electrical or electronics engineering.
- Experience with DCS/SCADA, PLCs and ESD/FGS.
- Ability to design instrumentation and control systems for plants.
Responsibilities
- Design instrumentation and control system concepts for new projects and plant modifications.
- Develop control logic, interlocks and HMI displays.
- Supervise installation, calibration, FAT/SAT, loop checks and commissioning.
- Create maintenance programs for preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and process standards and participate in risk assessments.
- Review vendor documents and support project execution with engineers and operations.
- Update P&IDs and control system documentation; produce technical reports.
