Job summary

Tabby is launching a Kuwait unit and seeks a General Manager in Kuwait City to lead the effort from an on-site, licensed entity to full operation. You will be the face of Tabby to the regulator, banks and merchants, accountable for the team, plan and growth.

The role requires 10+ years of fintech leadership, GCC experience and a proven ability to stand up regulatory processes, partnerships and local product roadmaps in a high-growth market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with 3+ years in general management or senior commercial roles with full P&L accountability.
• Track record launching or scaling regulated financial services, payments or fintech in a GCC market.
• Direct experience with regulators and licensing, submissions and examinations.
• Domain expertise in fintech, consumer lending/BNPL, payments or e-money with GCC licensing knowledge.
• Proven merchant or B2B commercial success and ability to build from a small team.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity with a lean team and strong P&L discipline.
• Professional Arabic and English, including regulatory communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the Central Bank of Kuwait relationship end to end as the accountable executive.
• Stand up Tabby Payments K.S.C.C. as a local operating entity with governance.
• Carry full commercial ownership of Kuwait market: merchant onboarding, partnerships, and growth.
• Own local P&L and market economics, align with group product, credit, risk and legal.
• Build and lead the local team, define hiring and manage costs.
• Define the market product roadmap with group product, including longer-term financing and cross-border transfers.
• Represent Tabby externally to banks, merchants, partners and the regulator.
