Job summary

Tabby Kuwait is seeking a founding General Manager to drive the startup of a fully licensed, onshore business. You will lead the buildout of the local entity, own regulatory relationships, and shape the growth plan from day one.

You will oversee merchant acquisition, partnerships, and the local P&L while coordinating with group product, risk, and compliance. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential and prior Kuwait/regulatory experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of fintech, payments and regulatory licensing.
• Track record of scaling a regulated financial services or fintech business.
• Experience as the accountable executive in regulator relations or licensing processes.
• Strong P&L management and commercial contracting experience.
• Bilingual Arabic and English communication, including regulatory correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Own Central Bank of Kuwait relationship end to end, including licensing and ongoing supervision.
• Stand up Tabby Payments K.S.C.C. as a local entity with its own team and governance.
• Drive merchant acquisition, partnerships, and local marketing to grow the Kuwait market.
• Own local P&L and market economics, aligning with group product, risk, treasury and legal.
• Build and lead the local team, planning hiring and controlling cost base.
• Define and sequence the market's product roadmap with group product for Kuwait licensing.
• Represent Tabby externally to banks, merchants, partners and regulators.
