Job summary

Capitex is sourcing a consultant-level Fraud Data Analyst to lead the analytics agenda in a 6‑month engagement at a major regional bank. You will own detection strategy, correlate data across digital channels, cards, case management and core banking data, and mentor the bank’s analysts as you build out the analytics layer.

You will work remotely from the UK for months 1–2, then relocate onsite to Kuwait City for months 3–6.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fraud or financial crime data analytics in banking/payments/fintech.
• Proven ability to own analytics agenda and advise, not just execute.
• Experience building operational dashboards and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Query, extract and correlate data across systems to identify fraud patterns and gaps.
• Translate analysis into rule recommendations to reduce false positives and boost detection.
• Design dashboards and reporting on rule performance and fraud losses for leadership.
• Lead the fraud analytics layer in the Microsoft Fabric data lake program.
• Mentor bank analysts and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Support post-incident reviews with data deep-dives alongside L1/L2 analysts.
