Job summary

Capitex is seeking a Fraud Data Analyst to join a Kuwaiti bank’s 24/7 digital fraud operations. The role starts remotely and relocates onsite in Kuwait City from Month 3 for the remainder of a 6-month consultancy.

You will analyze alerts, tune detection rules, and build dashboards under the bank’s direction, collaborating with L1/L2 analysts and a senior investigator. You should have 3+ years in financial crime analytics, strong SQL, and experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, plus

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data analytics within fraud, financial crime or banking operations.
• Strong SQL is essential; Python or R for analysis is a strong plus.
• Experience with BI/visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent) and dashboards.
• Familiarity with fraud detection platforms and alert data structures.

Responsibilities

• Analyse fraud alert and case data to identify trends and detection gaps.
• Support rule and threshold tuning on the bank's fraud monitoring platform.
• Build evidence base, model impact, and document proposed changes for approval.
• Design and produce operational MI: alert volumes, outcomes, SLA performance, losses.
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting for leadership.
• Support post-incident reviews with data deep-dives.
• Work with L2 and senior investigator to turn observations into improvements.
