Job summary

V2X is seeking a DFAC Supervisor to oversee all food service activities at a Kuwait location supporting LOGCAP. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, ensuring safe cooking techniques, equipment accountability, and staff scheduling and training.

The ideal candidate has five+ years in military food service, at least two years supervising, and SERV SAFE certification. CAC access and MS Office proficiency are required, with a high school diploma as a minimum.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years as a food service supervisor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractors in food preparation, serving, cashier operations, dining area cleanliness, kitchen and storage areas in line with PWS and SOPs.
• Ensure proper cooking techniques per TB Med 530.
• Maintain equipment accountability, serviceability, and stock ordering.
• Schedule and train subcontractor workforce per DFAC requirements.
• Direct and ensure HACCP procedures are followed.
• Ensure adherence to Safety Policies and Regulations by all employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP. The DFAC Supervisor will oversee all Food Services activities as directed by the DFAC Manager. Main areas of concentration will be the oversight of the kitchen operations, food preparation and inventory levels. The Supervisor will oversee scheduling and training of employees. In the absence of DFAC Manager the DFAC Supervisor will be the DFAC POC.

Responsibilities

• Manage sub-contractors with food preparation, food serving, cashier operations, cleanliness of the dining areas, serving lines, kitchens, temperature danger zones, dishwashing area and storage areas IAW with PWS and SOPs
• Ensure proper cooking techniques are being applied IAW TB Med 530
• Maintain all equipment accountability and serviceability and turn-in and ordering of stock levels
• Manage scheduling and training for the sub-contractor work force ensure compliance with DFAC requirements as PWS
• Direct and ensure that HACCP procedures are followed
• Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations
• Performs other duties and assignments as required

Education/Certifications

• One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Education: High School Diploma; Associates/Bachelors is preferred.
• Experience: At least five years' food service experience in a military Food Services or cafeteria style or multi-entr e operations providing complete meal services (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
• At least two years experience as a food service supervisor.
• SERV SAFE certified is required.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Power Point, Word, Excel)
• Must be able to obtain and retain a CAC (Common access card) to access government systems
