Job summary

Fawaz Trading & Engineering Services Co is seeking a Firefighter II certified professional with at least 6 years of practical firefighting experience. You will join a high-pressure team responsible for emergency response, operating fixed protection systems, and performing vehicle rescues. Fluency in English is required, Arabic is a plus.

The role demands physical and mental fitness and willingness to work rotating shifts across facility sites. Prior oil & gas exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Secondary School completion with IFSAC/PRO-BOARDS/JOIFF Firefighter II certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of practical experience in a similar trade.
• Oil & Gas experience is an added advantage.
• Physically and mentally fit for the job.
• Willing to work in rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of firefighting and control crew during fires or emergencies.
• Operate fixed fire protection systems via electrical/mechanical means.
• Control breathing with SCBA and perform exit procedures during air depletion.
• Initiate emergency procedures in case of SCBA failure and complete donning.
• Identify entry/exit points and support vehicle rescue operations.

Job description

Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Secondary School completion with IFSAC / PRO-BOARDS / JOIFF Certification (or Equivalent) Firefighter II (Advanced Exterior, Interior Structural).
• Minimum 6 years of practical experience in a similar trade. Oil & Gas experience will be an added advantage.
• Serves as a member of firefighting and control crew operating in case of fire or emergency in assigned areas. Works under conditions of extreme personal hazards at any location within facility jurisdiction.
• Ability to operate fixed fire protection systems via electrical/mechanical means.
• Control breathing, use SCBA in limited visibility conditions, replace SCBA air cylinders, use SCBA to exit through restricted passages, initiate and complete emergency procedures in the event of SCBA failure or air depletion, and complete donning procedures.

Skills

• Ability to operate charged hose lines of 63 mm (2 ½ in.) diameter or larger; couple and uncouple various handline connections; carry hose; attack fires; and locate and suppress hidden fires.
• Ability to prepare a foam concentrate supply for use and assemble foam stream components.
• Ability to operate a special agent supply system (example: Hydro-Chem operations).
• Understanding of different types of alarms, implementing the appropriate response, and providing information through communications.
• Ability to operate disentanglement tools, initiate protective measures, identify and eliminate points of entrapment, and maintain incident stability and scene safety (Vehicle rescue).
• Ability to identify entry and exit points and probable victim locations, and assess and evaluate the impact of vehicle stability on the incident (Vehicle rescue).
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Arabic will be an added advantage.
