Job summary

Kwtsteel in Kuwait seeks a skilled Control Room Operator for its Ferro Silicon Plant. You will monitor the Submerged Arc Furnace and allied systems from the control room, ensuring safe, stable and efficient production. Responsibilities include PLC/DCS operation, logs, and coordinating with field operators and maintenance teams.

The role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to procedures, and active participation in commissioning and production activities in line with HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical certificate/diploma or degree in a related field.
• Experience with ferroalloy production and SAF is preferred.
• Ability to operate and monitor process control systems in continuous production.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control Submerged Arc Furnace (SAF) via PLC/DCS.
• Coordinate with shift operators and maintenance teams to address deviations.
• Maintain logs, reports, and data history; support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
