Job summary

KUWAIT STEEL in Kuwait is seeking a skilled Racker Operator for the Ferro Silicon Plant to operate the stoking car and charge raw materials into the furnace as per approved sequences. You will help maintain stable furnace operation, ensure timely material charging, and comply with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in mechanical/industrial operations.
• Experience in ferro silicon or heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to operate stoking car safely and in line with SOPs.
• Ability to maintain equipment records and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Timely covering of the furnace with an adequate charge.
• Crust management inside furnace.
• Control of charge spillages and leakages.
• Maintain workplace safety and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with shift in charge and control room operator.
