Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim Holding Kuwait seeks a Department Head to ensure the quality, range and freshness of offered goods, coordinating between Merchandisers and Sales Teams and other service providers within the assigned area.

You will develop department strategies, manage supplier negotiations, oversee pricing and stock, and lead a team to drive performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years in retail with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the retail industry.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in an operations or supervisory role.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent service orientation.
• Strong time management skills and general product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement department strategies to maintain a competitive advantage within the store.
• Manage supplier negotiations and internal promotions to strengthen the store's commercial positioning.
• Oversee pricing policies, product assortment, and the profitability of department assets.
• Ensure effective stock management, including inventory control, replenishment, and merchandise deliveries.
• Implement initiatives to reduce waste, shrinkage, and out-of-stock situations.
• Monitor security, hygiene, and customer service standards across the department.
• Supervise staff scheduling and ensure operational efficiency within the department.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while supporting performance management and succession planning.
