Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Kuwait City is seeking a kitchen team member to support daily food preparation and service, ensuring meals meet high standards and Guest satisfaction.

You will own your kitchen area, manage supplies and equipment, minimise waste, and assist with washing up and other duties as needed.

Commit to safety and hygiene, follow procedures, wear protective equipment, keep the space clean, assist guests with queries, and contribute to team efforts when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals that meet high standards and delight guests.
• Own and maintain kitchen supplies and equipment, minimise waste.
• Report unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents to supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness to exceed local hygiene laws.
• Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Assist guests with queries and provide advice.
• Wear your uniform with pride.
• Take on ad-hoc duties with the team when needed.
• Understand policies on Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
• Know emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Log security incidents, accidents, near misses to Line Manager.

• Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
• Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
• Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager
