Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an executive chef in a fine dining restaurant or hotel environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative menus that reflect the restaurant’s cuisine, culture and style
• Develop new recipes and menu items
• Supervise all kitchen staff, including hiring, training and scheduling
• Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as necessary
• Ensure that all food is prepared safely and according to health and safety regulations
• Monitor portion sizes to ensure consistent quality
• Ensure that all dishes are produced on time, with minimal waste
• Work closely with other departments to ensure excellent customer service
