Job summary

Egis Kuwait is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for port terminals. You will ensure safe operation, regulatory compliance, and high reliability of power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

You will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and operations teams, conduct electrical audits, and optimize performance using SCADA and automation tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical systems design and analysis, preferably in port, terminal, or industrial infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, electrical safety standards, and electrical codes (IEC, local regulations).
• Proficiency with CAD software and electrical design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for port terminals, including power distribution networks, lighting systems, and control systems
• Conduct comprehensive electrical audits and safety inspections to ensure compliance with IEC standards and local Kuwait electrical codes
• Analyze electrical system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and system failures, implementing corrective actions in a timely manner
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and maintenance reports
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and operational teams to ensure successful project execution
• Monitor electrical system performance using SCADA and other monitoring tools to ensure optimal operation
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Support the evaluation and implementation of renewable energy solutions for port infrastructure

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kuwait.
