Job summary

Alshaya Group's Primark Kuwait is seeking a Department Manager to lead a department team on the shop floor, train staff, develop talent, and drive sales with an outstanding customer experience.

You will deputize for the Store Manager during periods of absence, maximise profitability, and work to reduce stock loss while ensuring the team remains motivated and well informed about the brand.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years retail experience.
• The ability to delegate tasks amongst a team, negotiate with customers and colleagues, and interview new hires.
• Excellent English communication skills (Arabic is an advantage).
• Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.

Responsibilities

• Train, develop and lead a department team on the shop floor to maximise sales and deliver excellent customer service.
• deputize for the Store Manager during periods of absence and ensure brand standards are followed.
• Aim to reduce stock loss and improve commercial performance within the department.
• Motivate and develop Sales Associates to be knowledgeable about the brand and products.

As the Department Manager you will train, develop, and lead a department team to maximise sales and reduce stock loss, working alongside them on the shop floor in order to demonstrate and drive an excellent standard of customer service. You will ensure that all Sales Associates are highly motivated and knowledgeable about the brand, and you will also deputize for the Store and Assistant Store Manager during periods of absence.
