Job summary

Work standard is seeking a talented Sous Chef in Al-Kuwait to support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and ensure every dish meets quality standards.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in a professional kitchen, strong organizational and cooking skills, and the ability to work under pressure. English or Arabic communication is essential, with MS Office knowledge helpful for inventory and cost tracking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as Sous Chef in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative culinary talent and excellent cooking skills.
• Experience with menu planning, inventory control, and cost management.
• Certificate or Diploma from an accredited culinary school is preferred but not required.
• Good verbal communication skills in English or Arabic language is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Help ensure all dishes are cooked to perfection.
• Support menu planning, inventory control, and cost management.
• Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness.
• Help mentor junior kitchen staff and ensure quality standards.
