About the role

Position Title: Consultant-Strategic Collaboration

Work Location: Kuwait

Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company.

Job Responsibilities

1. Advise on strategic collaborations and partnership opportunities in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector, including commercial structuring and contracting approaches.


2. Translate strategic E&P objectives into executable projects by coordinating with multidisciplinary technical, commercial, legal, and other stakeholders.


3. Assess the required technical capabilities, staffing, facilities, and resources for strategic E&P projects.


4. Conduct petroleum economic evaluations and provide technical and commercial input to support management decision-making.


5. Advise on project budgets, technical requirements, specifications, scope, and execution programs.


6. Define and develop strategic E&P project scopes and programs in coordination with planning and relevant stakeholders.


7. Assess the technical and commercial viability of E&P opportunities and identify potential development opportunities.


8. Support management in resolving complex technical and commercial challenges during project execution.


9. Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams comprising geoscientists, engineers, and other technical professionals.


10. Evaluate technical and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.


11. Monitor global E&P industry trends, partnership models, contracting methodologies, and emerging opportunities to support strategic initiatives.


12. Contribute to strategic planning and provide expert guidance on complex Upstream projects and programs.

Qualification Requirements

1. Postgraduate degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or a related discipline.


2. Minimum 20 years of professional Upstream Oil & Gas experience, with substantial experience in E&P activities.


3. Extensive experience in developing, scoping, planning, and managing complex E&P projects and programs.


4. Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams of geoscientists, engineers, and technical professionals.


5. Strong experience in petroleum economics, commercial evaluation, project structuring, and technical-commercial risk assessment.


6. Knowledge of E&P fiscal regimes and commercial frameworks, with the ability to identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks.


7. Demonstrated experience working with major international E&P companies and stakeholders.


8. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.


9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide high-level technical and commercial advice in complex project environments.


10. International Upstream experience is preferred.
