Job summary

BedsXML, a fast-growing B2B travel wholesale company, seeks a seasoned Chief Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting in a high-volume, multi-currency environment in Kuwait. You will manage the full accounting cycle, close processes, and ensure IFRS compliance while overseeing supplier payables and client receivables.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of accounting experience, SAP FI/CO or S/4HANA proficiency, and strong Excel skills. GCC experience and Arabic language are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Solid B2B experience handling corporate clients and supplier accounts.
• Proven background in B2B travel wholesale, bed banks, hotel distribution, DMCs or tour operations.
• Hands-on SAP experience (SAP FI/CO or S/4HANA).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and multi-currency accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high transaction volumes.
• CPA, CMA or ACCA is a plus.
• GCC experience is preferred; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare monthly financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Oversee supplier payables to hotels, DMCs and bed banks, including VCC payments.
• Reconcile supplier and agent statements against bookings, cancellations and amendments.
• Manage client receivables, deposits and credit limits for travel agents and tour operators.
• Handle multi-currency accounting and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting in SAP.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting and margin analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure VAT/tax compliance.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team.
