Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field is required.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism preferred.
  • Understanding of functional communication training, differential reinforcement, and PBSPs preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills to operate Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to structure the classroom to meet educational goals.
  • Oversee the behavior plan implementation and provide behavioral supports for the school day.
  • Perform Discrete Trial Training sessions as needed and train staff.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports for treatment plan meetings.
  • Develop and update Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) using FBA data.
  • Attend Case Conferences and IEP meetings; support social skills programs.
