Job summary

The University of Washington Recreation department seeks a Wheelchair Basketball Head Coach to lead the UW Wheelchair Basketball program on the Seattle campus. Reporting to the Intramurals Manager, you will provide coaching leadership, student-athlete development, recruitment, and program administration.

Hours range 5-15 hours per week in-season with travel for games and tournaments; occasional telework may be permitted.

Qualifications

High school diploma required and two years of playing and/or coaching wheelchair basketball.
Experience with head coaching duties in wheelchair basketball.
Demonstrated success in recruiting, program development, and mentoring student-athletes.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and direction for the UW Wheelchair Basketball program.
Coordinate travel, scheduling, equipment, budgeting, and camps.
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, staff, and interns; engage with community partners.
Represent UW Adaptive Sports at events and foster collaboration with campus partners.
