University of Portland seeks a Fitness & Operations Program Manager to lead recreational fitness and wellness programs at Beauchamp Center, while supervising staff and coordinating front desk operations. You will help plan, implement, and evaluate services that support student health and campus wellness.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in supervisory roles; a Master's degree and higher education fitness experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of professional experience with supervisory duties.
  • Master's degree preferred; higher education fitness/wellness experience is a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage recreational fitness and wellness programs.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and schedule staff for the center front desk and programs.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and cover front desk as needed.
  • Foster leadership, mentorship, and workplace readiness among students.
  • Develop and enforce operational procedures for facility access and service delivery.
  • Manage customer service quality, facility presentation, and safety standards.
