Senior Recruiter & Talent Acquisition Manager | Heavy Industrial Recruiting

Ferroglobe is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Bridgeport, Alabama. We are open to candidates with a background as an Electrical Project Engineer or an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer. This role is a replacement position and requires a motivated individual to drive key site projects.

The Project Engineer will be instrumental in supporting plant operations and executing capital projects. While this role is a leader, it is not a management position with direct reports.

Key activities

Perform tasks such as searching for parts and part numbers.
Work with procurement on activities like getting quotes and working with vendors for ongoing projects.
Collaborate with other engineers within the company to obtain necessary information.
Lead and contribute to significant business initiatives and projects such as:
- Baghouse and Dust mitigation maintenance and projects
- Crushers & Sizing maintenance and projects
- Automation projects and MCC replacements

Required skills

CAD experience
Proven Project Management abilities
Strong Electrical Knowledge, specifically in Motor Controls and PLC
Solid Mechanical Knowledge, including experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulics

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required; however, candidates with strong, relevant experience would be acceptable.

Expected Profile & Training

Leadership: The successful candidate will be a leader within the role.
Training: Training will primarily be provided by Cody (Hiring Manager) and Russ Lang for specific needs.
Interview Focus: Candidates should be prepared to discuss their project experience, including:
- The size of projects managed and their specific involvement.
- Examples of how they managed tight timelines.
- Their proficiency in problem-solving/troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical issues.
