Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:
Develop and execute capital project plans and budgets that support annual and strategic business initiatives.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project completion while controlling costs and meeting established timelines.
Prepare bid packages, evaluate proposals, and secure competitive quotations from suppliers and contractors in accordance with company standards and procurement policies.
Coordinate the procurement, delivery, installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment and systems.
Develop and review engineering designs to ensure equipment and processes meet operational, quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including specifications, drawings, permits, validation records, and project reports.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, EHS, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to successfully implement projects.
Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and engineering service providers throughout all phases of project execution.
Ensure all project activities are performed in a manner that prioritizes employee health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates, forecasts, and performance metrics to site and global leadership teams.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize schedule, cost, and operational impacts.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned
Our expectations for this exciting role:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
Minimum of three (3) years of project engineering or capital project management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Experience with process design, process control systems, and industrial equipment design.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to influence and drive results in a team environment.
Working knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency with project management tools, engineering software, and Microsoft Office applications.
