Job summary

UNICEF seeks a Youth Engagement and Active Citizenship Consultant for Rome, with remote work allowed within Italy, for a 5-month 20-day assignment. The role focuses on supporting national and local Youth Advisory Boards to advance child rights, social cohesion, and youth participation.

You will develop training modules, facilitate youth-led workshops, and help co-create action plans across national and local levels, coordinating with government and non-government partners.

Qualifications

Masters in social or political sciences or related field is required.
Experience designing and delivering training for adolescents and youth.
Fluency in Italian and English is required.
Knowledge of human rights-based programming.
Strong facilitation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Support the National Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and six Local YABs to develop a common vision of active citizenship.
Create a capacity-building package with training modules and facilitation tools.
Strengthen YAB members through participatory learning workshops.
Co-create youth-led action plans at national and local levels to promote child rights and social cohesion.
