We are actively seeking an experienced
- Wind Operating and Maintenance Services Manager
to join our team and provide critical support to a major client in the Energy industry. As a Wind O&M Service Manager, you will work closely on a variety of projects, with Offshore Wind projects as the primary focus. You will support the estimation team with the following responsibilities:
- Support O&M Estimation manager in identifying, directing, and implementing business strategies for the Offshore Wind O&M services, including operational marketing, pricing, sales, and customer retention strategies.
- Assist in preparation of proposals and scope development, including:
- Project cost estimates and schedules (personnel, materials, services, logistics, needed)
- O&M Package preparation and execution documentation
- Identification of potential suppliers
- Preparation and review of supplier documentation
- Participation as required in complete electrical system design opportunities
- Involvement in offshore wind farm developments to ensure interface requirements are addressed
- Coordinate activities with other departments such as Proposal, Commercial, Maintenance Engineering, and Commissioning for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and related activities
- Develop, improve, and manage processes, tools, and technology implementations to increase efficiency in planning, design, and project execution
- Develop relationships with potential partners within the Offshore Wind Sector
- Oversee assignments and activities of personnel assigned to projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective utilization of employees and resources
- Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members
- Provide senior-level technical expertise, input, and evaluation on O&M projects
- This position will work with a high degree of autonomy
- All other duties as assigned
Main requirements :
- At least 3 years of experience in Wind OSS (Offshore Sub Station) Operation & Maintenance services
- Knowledge of main electrical systems such as GIS, Transfo, SCADA, Metering, Protection, and auxiliary systems typical of an OSS (crane, UPS, lifeboat, etc.)
- Previous experience in bid and tendering activities
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent command of Italian and English languages
- Availability for short-term trips
Additional requirements and soft skills :
- Experience in managing bid projects including proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, scheduling, engineering, design team coordination, quality reviews & communication, budgeting, and client management
- Knowledge of wind offshore substation design, including layouts, plans, sections, details, auxiliary power systems, platform cabling, transformers, switchgear, and interface requirements
- Grid Code compliance
- Protection and control design expertise
- Strong facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proven success in managing budgets, savings, and profit margins
- Proficiency with Electrical Safety Codes and IEEE / ANSI Standards
- Ability to lead, influence, and manage effectively
- Excellent planning and analytical skills
