Job summary

EDP Renewables (EDPR) is seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead wind farm and BESS layout design, manage engineering projects and coordinate with external suppliers across development stages. The role requires a strong background in wind, BESS, substations and high- voltage lines, with Autocad Civil 3D and InfraWorks experience.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or similar.
• Minimum of 7 years.
• Minimum of 5 years with experience in design and/or redaction and/or revision of different kind of projects for wind farms, BESS Plants, substations and high voltages lines.
• Experience designing wind farms with Autocad Civil 3D and/or similar softwares.
• Experience with WTG assembly strategies and transports simulation.
• Experience in BESS layout definition and optimization.
• Experience in managing and supervision of engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Engineering, Development and Construction Area to perform Technical Due Diligences, preliminary design and feasibility studies to acquire projects in different levels of Development performing CapEx estimations, risk analysis, technical reports.
• Engineering management responsible for the project and in direct contact with the Business Unit.
• Execution of the development of engineering and designs in the different stages: pre-design, basic, executive and tender project, supervise technical feasibility of those ones assuring EDPR technical standards and project specific conditions.
• Support design coordination among the internal pipeline and planification.
• Ensure strong communication between local E&C teams and Corporate Areas to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change, improvements and best practices
• Full coordination of external suppliers
• Site surveys with detailed reports of interferences, issues, risks present at project site
• Support the elaboration of the specifications for basic and executive projects; supervise the technical adequacy of them, ensuring the compliance with EDPR standard and other specific project restraining in close coordination with Corporate Areas.
• Provide specialized technical support in the tender processes and assists E&C teams and, if only indirectly, Purchasing Department in the adjudication negotiation to guarantee the best technical-economic conditions in the awarding.
• Perform CapEx estimations, risk analysis, technical reports.
