Position Purpose

The Welding QC Inspector reports to the Quality Control Manager and is part of the Energy Carriers team at Bioraffineria di Livorno, managing and supporting a team of 10.

Responsibilities

• Execute inspections on materials, equipment, and construction activities according to Quality Control Plans, and record findings.
• Verify welding parameters and consumables during operations.
• Check availability and qualifications of welding procedures (WPS / PQR).
• Witness mechanical tests during PQR execution.
• Ensure welding equipment, consumables, pre-heating, heat treatment, and repairs meet standards, and review heat treatment records.
• Ensure compliance of welding, heat treatment, and hardness testing with relevant codes and specifications.
• Perform pipe line-up checks and verify material traceability and specifications.
• Conduct visual inspections and prepare reports.
• Manage documentation related to tests, controls, and inspections, ensuring records are properly stored within the final As Built dossier.
• Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to approved Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans.

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.

At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within oil and gas.

Languages : Italian and English.

Technical skills including knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, ASME, AWS, etc.), NDT methodologies, welding process inspection, and certifications like IWI, CSWIP.

IT Skills : Database Management, System Administration.
