Baker Hughes in Massa, Tuscany on site, is seeking a Welding & Material Science Engineer to join our Industrial & Engineering Technology team. This full‑time role offers career growth and exposure to advanced welding, materials and production processes, including high‑tech alloys and hydrogen projects.

You will lead programs, apply FEM analysis, and collaborate across functions while communicating in English and Italian.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Material Science or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Demonstrate ability to lead programs/projects.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Italian.
• International Welding Engineer/Technologist certification is a plus.
• PhD in Ni-based Alloys processing is a plus.

Mansioni

• Develop welding/brazing, heat treatment techniques and welding equipment applications.
• Conduct R&D investigations to improve welding processes and equipment.
• Develop FEM analyses on welding and thermal processes using advanced simulation software.
• Prepare technical reports from R&D and preventive maintenance investigations.
• Establish welding/brazing procedures guiding production and welding personnel.
• Direct and coordinate technicians in inspecting welding and thermal processes.
• Collaborate with other agencies, engineers, customers or suppliers.
