IDS is a leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical laboratory market. We develop, manufacture, and market innovative immunoassays and automated immunoanalyser technologies to provide improved diagnostic outcomes for patients.

IDS Italy is based in Spello and was founded in 1996 by Diametra. In 2014, the site became a subsidiary of IDS. Our site in Italy engages in the manufacturing, research, and development of manual in-vitro diagnostics devices (ELISA). Activities at the Spello site include own brand production and OEM production of bulk supplies, unlabelled reagents, and customised packaging. In addition, our R&D team is involved in the development and customised design of in-vitro diagnostic reagents for IDS automated instruments.

Job Purpose

Under the direction of the logistic manager, the warehouse operator is responsible for creating shipment and related documents, controlling inbound items according to established procedures, and ensuring compliance with the logistic schedule.

Warehouse Worker Responsibilities:

• Follow all shipment phases accurately and independently under the supervision of the logistic manager.
• Oversee and verify all inbound items according to logistic schedules and quality system rules.
• Maintain and perform operations to ensure the functionality and efficiency of the work environment, including general upkeep and safety of the logistic area.
• Ensure the reception, storage, distribution, and shipment of raw materials, finished products, and packing materials.
• Execute activities within the area following established plans and shipment schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of warehouse materials.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites according to client criteria.
• Implement safety and cleanliness protocols in the logistic area, utilizing available space efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the external area of the company building.
• Support external providers during their interventions as per site management instructions.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift driving license (preferable).
• Good manual dexterity and ability to perform manual activities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with limited supervision.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and Office packages.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• English proficiency preferably at A1 level.
• Understanding of transport limitations and regulations.
• Previous experience in a logistics environment is advantageous.
